A friend asked me to model a car he owns, so I gave it a go. My first completed car project (I figure that Batmobile doesn't count as a car, LOL). Inside is just blocked out, but I tried to match everything on the outside.
A simple building done in 3DS Max 2014 and Vray 3. Still practicing with those two. The building is lacking some finer details but I wanted to concentrate more on foliage and lighting this time. Some postprocessing was done in Photoshop, cars and trees are free models from around the internet...
I had an idea for hallway decorations, something other than the usual paintings or photos. Those are recesses in wall with lights behind a blurred glass with motifs on them.
I'm stunned looking at this demo. This could serve as a great presentation to potential house/apartment buyers where you let them walk freely inside. I think I'm going to develop further in this direction now that a game engine can give such a real feel, almost like renders. Real time presentation and video recording possibilities justify the time needed to setup everything in an engine, opposed to having to wait for a XY time needed for rendering an animation to finish. Nice, really nice...
